Dr Jonathan Clowes

I saw Dr Clowes for the first time today. I found him to be very professional in a concerned and friendly way. He gave me some information about some of my medication which was new to me and very useful. Apparently I should have been made aware of this information when the tablets were first prescribed, but I had not been. Also he answered my queries about a couple of other health issues. If I need to consult Dr Clowes again I will be happy to do so and will tell any other patients so, if they ask.

The doctor undertook a test normally provided by nursing staff. However due to holidays the doctor performed the test. Perhaps more support and training on the testing equipment should be provided to doctors in the practice on equipment such as inr machines so they are more familiar with their operation. This could save valuable time. Although in my case, with some support from other practice staff, it did not take that long.I should stress these comments relate to speed and efficiency rather than competence.
